Is AI Search Reading Your YouTube Videos? | The AI Search Briefing #25

Google AI answers are appearing in a growing number of search results.
Some studies and search-tracking platforms have reported AI Overviews appearing in approximately 40% or more of the searches they examined. Other studies have measured lower percentages.
Why the difference?

The results depend on which keywords were tested, the country where the searches occurred and whether the searches were informational, commercial, local or phrased as questions.
AI Overviews are especially common when people ask detailed questions or need information gathered from several sources.
So, whether the exact figure is 20%, 40% or even higher for certain types of searches, the direction is unmistakable.
AI-generated answers are becoming a major part of Google Search.
That means businesses can no longer focus only on achieving a traditional blue-link ranking.
Your content must also be easy for Google’s AI systems to understand, evaluate and potentially use when building an answer.
Start by clearly explaining your services on your website.
Create pages that answer the questions customers ask before contacting you.
Use descriptive headings, accurate business information and original content based on real experience.
Keep your Google Business Profile complete and consistent with your website.
Publish helpful videos, maintain accurate listings and encourage customers to leave honest reviews describing the services they received.
Traditional SEO still matters because Google’s AI features are connected to its existing search-ranking and quality systems.
But the goal is expanding.
You do not simply want your website to rank.
You want your business information to be clear enough, useful enough and trustworthy enough to become part of the answer.
